Q. Basically, what is a MAF Translator?
A. A MAF Translator ius a device devloped by Full Throttle Speed to allow vehicles to use different MAF sensors on a variety of cars, or in the case of the Pro version, eliminate the MAF completely. When using a MAF that is not installed by the factory, the Translator receives the different MAF signal and translates it into data that the vehicle's computer can understand and process. It also allows for fine tuning of the air/flow ratio to increase performance.
Q. Does a MAF Translator work on my car?
A. The MAF Translator Pro and MAF Translator GenII are universal applications and require custom configurations while the Vehicle Specific MAF Translator is availabe for the following vehicles:
- Buick Grand National
- 1G and 2G DSM/3000GT
- Mitsubishi EVO8 and EVO9
- LT1/LS1
- Cobalt SS/Saturn Ion Redline
- MK3 Supra
